ANGOLA JULY 4TH PARADE
Its’ time for Masons in northeast Indiana to assemble in Angola for the traditional July 4th parade. Each year Angola Lodge #236 brings its’ large Masonic banner to lead the group parade that shows the emblems of the Blue Lodge, York Rite, Scottish Rite, Shrine and Eastern Star.
The parade is on Sunday, July 4th STARTING AT 1:00 PM (not the traditional 11:00 AM). They ask that everyone assemble by 11:30 AM (HAVE THE PONTOON IN PLACE). If you are walking in the parade, 12:30 PM would be a suggested arrival time. You cannot park in the staging area, so come a little bit early to get a decent place to park. If you come early enough you can park in the area near the Furth Center.
The Masonic Grouping is in Section 3, as the 5th unit in that section. This means we start on University Avenue south of 20 and the Furth Building – SAME PLACE WE HAVE STARTED FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS.
Angola Masonic Lodge #236 is participating. If members of other local Lodges want to be in the parade, feel welcome to join in. We will have two members who are going to be the lead off, carrying the Masonic banner.
Also attending will be Angola York Rite honor guard, carrying the United States flag and the Pokagon Shrine Club with their pontoon boat. If you want to be in the parade and don’t believe you can walk the route, please bring a lawn chair and you are welcome to ride on the pontoon and wave at the people as you drink your lemonade.

FT WAYNE VALLEY WANTS TO START UP A STEUBEN COUNTY SCOTTISH RITE CLUB
This is usually a noon meal/meeting, with all county Scottish Rite members invited to attend. The time and location will depend on the organizers. The Steuben County Club disbanded about 5 years ago.
Usually a couple Valley Officers would attend to update those attending. To make this happen we need two or three local members to help coordinate. Who is interested in starting up the County Club?

He will be present as the Ft. Wayne Valley puts on the 20th Degree, Master ad Vitam, at the “OLD FORT” in Ft. Wayne on October 4, 2021. This is about George Washington and the treason of Benedict Arnold. It is a lesson on disloyalty. He will also be in Ft. Wayne on Saturday, October 9 for the annual wine tasting/silent auction. You will not want to miss this.
