WILLIAM (BILL) MEYERS PASSES AWAY
Angola Lodge #236 lost one of its’ key members on Sunday, August 21 at Lakeland Nursing Center. Bill was 102 years old and a Mason for 80 years.
His Masonic Service will be held at the Angola Methodist Church on Monday, August 29 (220 W. Maumee, Angola) starting at 6:00 PM. Visitation is from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Church. His funeral will be on Tuesday, August 30 at the Methodist Church, starting at 11:00 AM. We are still looking for a couple strong armed Masons that can serve as pallbearers. The Church has 8 steps that will require the need to keep the casket balanced. Call Paul Friend if you can assist.
Bill turned 102 on August 18. Cake and drinks were served to those attending, although Bill was able to attend.
Angola has lost a very hard working Mason and he will be missed. To read his obituary go to Weicht Funeral Home, Angola.
ANGOLA LODGE PARTICIPATES IN ARTS FESTIVAL
Angola Lodge #236 set up a display when the downtown Angola Arts Festival filled the monument square. The Lodge sold cold drinks and handed out candy to children. The profits went to support the Well Child Clinic. Use was made of the membership packet posters to entice local men to consider Masonry, viewed in the background.
Pictured are Benton Davis, Nate Fultz, Mike Anderson and Brant Moore. Others working that day were Glen Rogers and Paul Friend.
ANGOLA LODGE #236
The Master Mason degree for Bryce Turner that was scheduled for Wednesday, August 17, was postponed. A date for the degree will be decided at its’ September 6 stated meeting.
LODGE #236 - BUILDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
Angola Masonic Lodge building improvements to the Lodge front doors and window display area (on ground floor with rental) has been completed. The Lodge wants to thank Cardinal Glass for their donation of the glass.
Also thanks to the many brethren who made donations for the project. The work was done by Wagler & Associates and NEI Glass of Angola.
A special coin is being struck to help commemorate the 100 year old Masonic Building. You will be hearing about this coin later.
The front doors of the Lodge are very appealing and makes the Masonary work look like new. The buildings’ cornerstone was laid in 1923, with the dedication conducted by the Indiana Grand Lodge on June 24, 1924.
NORTHEASTERN LODGE #210 (Fremont)

There is still a way to go, but the search goes on. If you are familiar with searching out our these Masonic families on the computer, please let yourself be known. Help is needed!!

POKAGAN SHRINE CLUB & MIZPAH SHRINE NEWS
A group of 20 Shriners, ladies and family attended a TinCaps game in Ft. Wayne. This is about the 6th year for a fun night. The below pictures show the 3rd base concourse view and attendees. For the admission price the attendees could eat all the hamburgers, hot dogs and mac and cheese they desired plus cold water and soda drinks. There was also peanuts and popcorn. Beer was extra. It is a great view, with no sun beating on your head. The concourse offers a variety of seating options and a chance to walk around visiting while watching the game.
This would be a suggested activity for any Masonic group.
