Frank was active as a County Commissioner, County Council, School Board member of Riverdale and Eastside High School, among many other local leadership positions.
CONCORD LODGE #556 (Spencerville)
Concord Lodge is coordinating a “Veterans Court” event on Thursday, June 2 at 2:00 PM (SHARP!), at the Auburn Courthouse. Another Veteran will be graduating from the program.
This court is for Veterans who have committed an unlawful act – many which are usually drug and/or alcohol related. The charges can eventually be dropped, BUT the Veteran has to go through a very strenuous and vigorous set of meetings in court, which may be up to a two year process. This gives you a chance to witness how the court works. It gives the Veteran a new look on life upon completion.
Masons are invited to attend to witness the graduation ceremony and watch other veterans in one of the required meetings for the Veteran to update their progress. Suggested dress is a Masonic shirt and/or casual dress up clothes. Coat and tie is not necessary, but can be worn.
The event takes place on the Third Floor of the Court House in Auburn. It starts at 2:00 PM – very hard to get in if you are late. Plan to come early to view the beautiful third floor of marble with decorative pillars. Apollo Commandery #19 will we be doing a flag presentation.
You will be searched at the door – YOU MUST NOT HAVE YOUR CELL PHONE (LEAVE IT IN YOUR CAR). YOU CAN HAVE YOUR CAR KEYS – PLAN ACCORDINGLY. ENTER THE NORTH SIDE DOOR.
NORTHEASTERN LODGE #210 (Fremont)
Northeastern Lodge #210, continues its’ Monday morning coffee and donuts at the Fremont Lodge. They will continue to meet throughout the year. Meet around 8:00 AM for fellowship and leave when necessary. The lodge is located a half block east of the 4 way stop, on the north side of State Road 120.
NORTHEASTERN LODGE #210 (Fremont)
Sheriff Robinson will be the speaker at their stated meeting on June 1
ASHLEY LODGE #614
Degree work to be held
Ashley Lodge #614 has candidates in waiting. No known dates have been set for degree work.
Degree work completed
An Entered Apprentice Degree was held for Bob Murphy on April 21, with the help of Bartimaeus Lodge U.D., a special group of Masons who assist in conducting the degree for men who are physically challenged. Ashley and Angola Lodge officers filled in the various stations as the degree was conducted, with the support of other local Masonic Lodges.
There were over 40 attending the event, which filled almost every seat in the Lodge. The Bartimaeus Lodge will return at a date to be determined when the FC degree will be presented.
Ashley has more petitions to be voted in the near future, so there is will be a lot of degree work activity for the next few weeks.

ALLIED MASONIC DEGREES – POKAGON COUNCIL NO 147
The ALLIED MASONIC DEGREES is an honorary Masonic group with a membership of 27 Masons who must be a member of a Symbolic Lodge and Royal Arch Chapter. Pokagon Council was formed in 1978 and usually meets 3 to 4 times a year. The Masons attend with their ladies to enjoy fellowship and in general for the betterment of Freemasonry.
The degrees of a Council are “detached’ degrees – many of which were conferred years ago under Craft warrants as side degrees. The degrees tend to be short in nature but have a profound meaning. This Council usually confers one degree each time they assemble.
The Officers of AMD for 2022 are as follows: (l to r) Carson Smith, Junior Warden; Mark Goebel, Senior Warden; Brant Moore, Senior Deacon; Frank Reiter, Junior Deacon; William Pond, Sovereign Master; Steve Maxwell, Secretary/Treasurer; Jon Doehrman, Tyler; and Jacob Dermott, Chaplain.
A composite picture of those attending the AMD meeting on March 30 pictured below. Members are from York Rite groups including: Angola; Ft. Wayne; Auburn; Elkhart; Goshen; Huntington (Roanoke); and Indianapolis.
